Pictures from DigitalDinos of CCAG 2001

These are pictures from CCAG 2001 taken by DigitalDinos.  Most of the pictures were taken during setup and breakdown.

Rather than showing all of the pictures to you at once (because then the page would take over 30 minutes at 28.8 to present,) they are shown as thumbnails taking a little over a minute and a half to present at 28.8.  If you want to see the full picture, just double-click it and it will display.  Once the picture is displayed, use the "Back" button on your browser to return to this page.

Jim Krych, the fearless leader of CCAG 2001, and the little 2 ton CAT in the background that he's desperately trying to find someone to move out of the National Guard Armory before the doors open on Saturday 9 a.m.

Jeff, yet another organizer, setting up his DEC Rainbow.  (Yes, of course, it works.)

DigitalDino's plethora of Apple stuff for sale.  Mostly Macs with some Apple IIe, IIc, and IIgs CPUs thrown in - and around - for color.

"Man!  This setting up is hard work at the end of June with no air conditioning!"

CCAG2001_18c.jpg (48769 bytes)

The Devastator!  Yes, it's big.  Really big.  Really cool.  It's built for MAME.  This was it's inaugural show.

CCAG2001_25c.jpg (71095 bytes)

Proud papa of The Devastator.  More games of Cyruss have never been played so well.  Yes, that is a 17 inch monitor.  Tiny, isn't it?

CCAG2001_09c.jpg (185731 bytes)

Panning shots from back of the hall across from the big door from left to right.  Picture 1 of 3.  This is C's Games out of Pittsburgh PA table.  Lots of old and current stuff.

On the first table, that's a TRS-80 Model 4, an Apple II+, a TRS-80 Model I with expansion box and two drives, and a Commodore PET in the rarely seen "take out all the screws in the bottom and open the hood position.  Each had a little placard with interesting information about the computer on it.  On the next table are the folks from TI-CHIPS with a TI-994A and it's expansion box with a color monitor.

The C's Games folks...

...and all the goodies they brought!

Another vendor setting up.

A pair of show attendees stunned at all the toys from yesteryear.  Or, is it just the camera pointed at him?  Hey!  Don't they have a camera, too?  Fair is fair!

CCAG2001_05c.jpg (85391 bytes)

This table was completely devoted to playing games all day and was quite a draw for players and memories.  This is a rare moment when you could actually see the games, sort of.

CCAG2001_10c.jpg (106169 bytes)

Most of the time, the table was crowded with players.

CCAG2001_17c.jpg (157567 bytes)

This guy is quite probably the best Dragon's Lair player in five states soundly trouncing the game all day.  That's one of those Philips CD-1 players playing Dragon's Lair.

16 / 32 Systems came to Cleveland, Ohio from England just for the show!  Packing his suitcases with tons of Atari and Jaguar games and software starved Yanks across the big pond, he was a big hit at the show!

CCAG2001_20c.jpg (74776 bytes)

Jim thought he would enjoy a rare moment of peace and a break from all the publicity surrounding CCAG and the introduction of The Devastator during a fast lunch.  He was wrong.  :)

The Tomy Tutor and Mattel's Aquarius up and running!

The Tomy Tutor guy and more of his goodies for sale and display.

Tomorrow's Heroes stand and awesome memorabilia section.  Where else are you going to see a stuffed Q*Bert?

CCAG2001_16c.jpg (192311 bytes)

Business is brisk at Tomorrow's Heroes.

CCAG2001_21c.jpg (165015 bytes)

More happy show goers.

Video Game Connection was here and is now packing up to go.  But everyone agreed...

CCAG2001_26c.jpg (109526 bytes)

...they all had a great time.  Even Samantha!  :)
